Cynthia Clawson - I Thank The Father - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 11, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
I THANK THE FATHER, May, Dallas
My friend Shari (age 9), invited me to her concert in December -- The Dallas Girl's Chorus. Their pure simple voices inspired a melody in my mind -- and in May, when Shari gave her heart to God, the words came and we had a new song. This song is for her.

I THANK THE FATHER

Music by Cynthia Clawson
Lyrics by Ragan Courtney

When a dewdrop catches the sunrise
When a treetop touches the wind
When a baby opens its new eyes
When the truth is revealed to men

When the ocean catches the moonlight
When a deer drinks from a stream
When a bird song wakens the morning
When our love is more than a dream

I thank the Father
Our loving Father
Who made all that is
I thank the Father
Our loving Father
Who opens His arms
And calls us His

When the Savior reaches a sinner
Changing his life from darkness to light
Jesus offers peace within us
Giving His children inner sight

I thank the Father
Our loving Father
Who made all that is
I thank the father
Our loving Father
Who opens His arms
And calls us His
