My Fifth Film: Chickedy and McGuffin 166

A huge leap in quality here. After about 3 years off doing films (well editing strictly speaking. All the while I was still gathering hours of footage of gigs) I randomly decided to edit a Chickedy and McGuffin video one afternoon arriving home unusually early from work. At the time I was thinking of doing a vid of Mats solo stuff, but I had so much footage of him, I didnt know where to start. I needed something easier to get me back into the swing of things. I had only two gigs worth of Ch and Mc tape, and most of their songs are quite short so an idea formed in my head. I used borrowed equipment this time, which is always a mixed blessing . The quality was significantly better Digital camera (shock! Horror!) and Final Cut (only Express mind, so I didnt totally sell out). The camera was a widescreen HD one, though I chose to film in regular format (or so I thought). The Mac decided to disagree with me, and captured all the footage in HD which led to the entire thing needing rescaling and fiddling to get it on You tube (thankyou to Derek Williams for sorting that little mess out). Anyway, like all good things, it was pretty much done in one all-night session, with a little tidying the following week. Its nice to have proper readable titles for once, and though I miss the tracking lines Im not sad to see the departure of the pixilation. Mat and Charly seem quite fond of the vid too, which is always a bonus. I have a list as long as my arm for future projects so watch this space..
