Il Balooba sound nasce ufficialmente a Pescara nel 2002 da un gruppo di amici che si innamora della Reggae Music grazie ad un sound di Taranto, Roots Inna Mix, che fa vedere le prime vere e proprie dancehall sul territorio pescarese alla fine degl'anni 90 Dopo vari cambi di formazione il Balooba è attualmente composto da 2 selectors (Filippo e Moko dj) e 2 mcs (Aman e Mr. Toxx). Le selezioni del Balooba, rigorosamente in juggling style, sono caratterizzate da una particolare attenzione a tutte le nuove produzioni jamaicane new roots e dancehall, sono arricchite dagli intramontabili classici del reggae e da un'
originale collezione di dubplates. Protagonista già nella stagione estiva 2002 di memorabili dancehall sulle spiagge di Città Sant' Angelo, della Torre di Cerrano e di Pineto,
dal 2004 porta avanti in pianta stabile "Massive", trasmissione radiofonica condotta insieme ai fratelli pescaresi Pure Love, in onda ogni Mercoledì dalle 16:00 alle 17.30 sulle frequenze di Radio Città Pescara. Sin dagli esordi molto attiva sul territorio pescarese, la crew ha performato in tutto l'Abruzzo e in tutta Italia e negli ultimi anni anche in varie città d' Europa come a Wermelskirchen, Francoforte, Chemnitz, Berlino (Germania), a Barcellona (Spagna), a Bienne (Svizzera), a Leiden (Olanda). Il Baooba Sound ha suonato in grandi eventi quali il concerto di Junior Kelly e Ras Shilo (2004) e quello di Giuliano Palma & The Blue Beaters (2006), a Pescara è stato resident tutti i Giovedì nella stagione autunno inverno 2003/2004 al "First Floor" e, oltre alle numerose collaborazioni con club, locali e stabilimenti come "Negril", "Vini e Oli", "Club Zone", "MarniBeach", "Lampara", "Zara", "Plinius", è stato resident sound, tutti i Sabati, per due stagioni consecutive (2006 e 2007) a "Le Canarie" e dall' Autunno 2007 è resident, insieme ai Pure Love, di "Massive Night" l'infuocato Sabato sera Reggae del "Wake Up", storico club alternativo pescarese. Sempre nel 2008, la crew diventa ideatrice e promotrice, in collaborazione con lo staff del Wake Up e con Pure Love, delle prime tre edizioni dell' "Int'l Stuff Festival", annuale rassegna di ospiti internazionali.

The Balooba Sound was born in Pescara in 2002 from a crew of friends that fall in love with reggae music. In the late 90’s they were inspired by Roots Inna Mix, a sound from Taranto, that use to promote the original dancehall style in Pescara area.
After some team change Balooba is actually formed by 2 selectors (Filippo and Moko dj) and 2 mcs (Aman and Mr.Toxx).
Balooba Sound's selections, played inna real juggling style, are characterized by a special attention to the brand-new Jamaican releases, both new roots and dancehall. Their sound is enriched by the Reggae Music evergreen’s and by an original dubplates collection.
Since 2004 they broadcast ‘Massive’, a reggae radio show alongside their Pescara’s brothers ‘Pure Love’, on air live an' direct every Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM on Radio Città Pescara. They promote reggae music all over Italy, and from the last years they are starting spread them style in Europe also like in Wermelskirchen, Frankfurt, Chemnitz, Berlin (Germany), in Barcellona (Spain), Biel/Bienne (Switzerland) and in Leiden (Netherlands). They played in big events as the live of Junior Kelly and Ras Shilo (2004), Giuliano Palma & The Blue Beaters (2006); in Pescara (where they are born and grow), they performed every Thursday (fall/winter 2003-2004) at "First Floor Club" and had several collaborations with various clubs "Negril", "Club Zone", "Zara", "Lampara", Marni Beach", "Plinius"They played every Saturday nights for two seasons (2006 and 2007), as resident sound, at "Canarie Club" and from Fall 2007 they are playing alongside Pure Love Sound, Saturday Night's residents as usual, at "Wake Up", historical alternative club set in Pescara. From 2008 they have promoted the three editions of "Int'l Stuff Festival".
