Phlatline Sound – “The Wickedest Juggling Machine” in the matter of reggae, dancehall, soca, and r’n’b was founded 1999 in Chemnitz (Saxony). Ever since, the soundsystem has been playing nationwide as well as several times abroad, e.g., in Moscow (RU), Madrid (E), Pescara (I), Budapest (HU) and Berne (CH). Phlatline Sound’s repertoire ranges from lovers rock and foundation to the latest reggae, r’n’b, dancehall, and soca hits.
Apart from that, the crew worked busily on their own record label "Phlatline Sound Productions" in order to produce their own tunes and riddims. Accordingly, Phlatline Sound already collaborated with numerous reggae and dancehall artists, such as Ce’cile, Chico, Choppa Chop, Rebellion the Recaller, Ill Inspecta, Ward 21, Sojah, and many more.
Since 1996, founding member LiKKLE T has established a good reputation as Phlatline Sound selectah due to his outstanding musical understanding, tight skills at the turntables, and individual feeling for the hottest and latest tunes. LIKKLE T is responsible for the weekly aired radio show Uptown Topranking.
Berlin-based founding member TOLEE is the operator of Phlatline Sound. He actually originates from the electronic dub scene where he already released a range of cutting edge electronic albums. TOLEE is the man in the background, and he is responsible for the sound engineering and for the Phlatline Sound Production label.
The half-Cuban PHiL, also known as RAS DOMiNGUEZ, has gained a lot of experiences in cross the boards of deejaying and mceeing since 2002. He, thus, works as selectah as well as MC. PHiL finally joined Phlatline Sound in spring 2007.
Selectah TOM TUFF completed the Phlatline Sound family with his energetic and fresh sets in spring 2008. As selectah in his former Sound “Man Of My Own,” TOM TUFF already collaborated with artists, such as Gentleman, Nosliw, and Ronny Trettmann.

Uptown Topranking radio show:
Phlatline Sound's reggae, dancehall and soca radio show "UPTOWN TOPRANKING" is part of the live program of the local radio station RADIO T (102.7 MHz) in Chemnitz. LIKKLE T presents the latest reggae, dancehall and soca tunes every Wednesday from 9-10 p.m. For the show he already interviewed a multitude of reggae -and dancehall artists such as Shaggy, Wayne Wonder, Tanya Stephens, Konshens, Choppa Chop, Ziggi, Mighty Crown, and Mighty Samson.
Furthermore, UPTOWN TOPRANKING promotes local artists and parties; for instance Ronny Trettmann, Ill Inspecta, and parties such as the regular Cube Club party Double Trouble. The Cube Club in Chemnitz is Phlatline Sound's 'home base' and soundsystems from all over the globe are invited to play alongside Phlatline Sound to establish a good relationship supporting the reggae-dancehall culture.
