DESCRIPTION:
This duo with guitarist Jason Klinke is my latest guitar duo after the passing of my long time friend and great guitarist Scott Sherwood. Scott and I had a duo for a bunch of years. Young Jason has all the qualities I seek in a guitar duo. We are at the beginning stage of this wonderful musical situation.

Antonio Carlos Jobim's Desafinado has always been part of my repertoire. It's romantic, it's fun to improvise on. In my arrangement instead of ending on the tonic chord F Major 7th, I instead play the -6 relationship Db Major 7th which decorates the ending melody in a beautiful way. I am sure Jobim would not mind this in the least as it keep the integrity of the piece. I always stress to my students that when arranging or re-harmonizing a piece always keep the integrity of the composition.
