DESCRIPTION:
Recorded on May 14, 2010, as part of "Dagakkibashi" at Super Deluxe in Azabu Juban, Tokyo. It was an evening of solos, duets and quartets from 4 percussionists: yours truly plus Winchester Nii Tete (from Ghana, on kpanlogo drums, djembe & talking drum) U-zhaan (from Japan, on tabla) and Ryutaro Kaneko (from Japan, on taiko). For this song, I'm accompanying myself on the Walking Drums. Another version of this same song, with sanza (African "thumb piano") accompaniment, can be heard here:

JACARANDA
jacaranda she's a sweet young thing
i'm saving my money for a wedding ring
my jacaranda girl she's my jacaranda girl
saw my jacaranda yesterday
no other woman love me quite that way
my jacaranda girl she's my jacaranda girl
she love me once and she love me twice
she's three times seven honey ain't that nice
my jacaranda girl she's my jacaranda girl
a better woman i could never find
if she's down in georgia, georgia's on my mind

no child no child
granny does your dog bite
no child no)
(hey miss bell
