Free are you now to play again like you did in
youth. Your music touched the hearts of many with a smile, So with a smile
and a tear we now say goodbye.

Wally was born in Washington D.C and not in Bivens Texas as mentioned in some articles/compilations circulating around the world. It is thought that placing him from Bivens would help his country career, rather than the boy from D.C

Welcome to our dedication
site!

Hey cats! Thanks for
stopping in and checking out our dedication to Wally Deane. So glad you
could make it. Well, Dad sang his last tune on April 05, 1986. I sure do
miss him and I wish he were here to tell him I love him just one more
time. Have you told your loved ones that you love them today? Make sure
you do, Don't be sorry that you did'nt.

Dad was a very kind,
smart, easy going, and very talented artist and musician. Wally was an
accomplished guitar, and even better piano player and was well known for those qualities. Wally
could draw a crowd no matter where he was with his great tunes, and sex appeal! He was a natural. He will be missed by all!

You know the music of the
50's was one of the most influential times in music history. Fusing two
musical styles to create what would eventually be termed "Rock and Roll".

I dedicate this site to
my father and to the music of the 50's, for which he had the great
privilege to be a part of. The road to stardom was not easy. The record
industry was a real "Wake Up Call" for most musicians. With major
competition, the "Payola Probe" limiting airtime play for musicians, and a
slew of other limiting factors, making records, and successful records was
very difficult.

The objective of this
site is to make sure that dad's music is heard by all. This is a goal and
a promise I made to dad before he passed. His music was undoubtedly
rocking and loved by many. Some have not heard dad's music, but as soon as
they do, they know that his music was unique and that he belonged in the
music business.

Let us take you on a ride
into dad's life as he experienced the Music Industry and what it takes to
"survive the elements". Dad's music touched the hearts of many, in a time
of great need. His music and his memories will never be forgotten.

Thanks to all of dad's
fans and friends for kicking this site off. I am sure with dedication, we
will get dad's music played and appreciated by all.

Join us as we Spread the
News of Wally Deane, his music, and the memories. Tell all of your

Gone, But Not Forgotten! Wally Deane

Thanks to all of you!
The
Deane Boys

Wallace Van Riper "Wally" Deane still a teen
when brought from Bivens, Texas to Trumpet/Globe Records by Tex Dean, cut
4 very fine rockabilly performances with accompaniment that included hot
finger picking a la Scotty Moore, whose guitar had done much to enliven
the debut releases of a Sam Phillips discovery named Elvis Presley.
Presley's initial success had not gone unnoticed by
Lillian McMurray
(trumpet Records-Globe Records) nor by Wally Deane.

Wally's
hiccupy, excited singing showed he was firmly aboard the same hay wagon
that Presley, Buddy Holly, and Carl Perkins were riding towards stardom.

Hey Abbott! Don't be mad at me. I just can't decide which song I like better, Drag On or It Should've Been Me?
