The Hudson River Rats (Minus Rob Paparozzi) were with David Clayton Thomas' 85-87's version of BS&T.

When the band was off the road, drummer DeFaria wanted a Blues Band to do some local gigs...from 1985-1987 they played Local Gigs in NJ & NY. In 86' Composer, Writer and Musician Jeff Kent (Dreams) brought the band to a club downtown on Great Jones St. called UNDER ACME.

After 28 weeks the show outgrew Acme and went to the Lonestar Roadhouse in Midtown. Shortly thereafter The Contes' left to form "Company of Wolves" and DeFaria "Tall Stories". Rob kept the band going with different line ups.

There was a certain energy that this particular version of the band had (combining Rock, Blues & Jazz Players) that created a very unique NY brand o' Blues....check it out! enjoy and special thanx to JEFF KENT and club owner SHARON BARNARD of Acme
