Soundcheck w/ Kochie Banton & JahFurry -- some choice soundcheck chunks mashed together:
Kochie starts with "My Love" & "Pass The Kutchie" and then Jeff Newelt AKA JahFurry (me) does the BeeGees ! "To Love Somebody" reggae-style -- master and padawan sharing stage. I've known Kochie since 1994 at the RubADub Jazz gigs I promoted at Metropolis Cafe... over the years I'd imitate Kochie and others backstage, then one day was dragged up in the middle of a tune. Now I do a lil sometin sometin now and then...

on 11/28 I had the honor of assembling an allstar reggae crew to open for AKIM FUNK BUDDHA's HIP HOP HOLIDAY.
