Angela Morley may well be the best known female composer of light music, but Joyce Cochrane was equally prolific, with many titles to her credit. She wrote several attractive songs for shows and films, and Gracie Fields recorded Honey Child one of her most famous songs. Paddle Boat was arranged by Sidney Torch who recorded a commercially release. The version here is the one recorded for the Chappell Mood Library (C358) with Sidney Torch conducting the Queen's Hall Light Orchestra.
