The King of the Kazoo: The Devil's Jukebox - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 22, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
The King of the Kazoo- an uptempo romp fuelled by Hadacol!
Hadacol was a cough medicine of the 1940's which contained 12% alcohol.
Invented by four-term Louisiana State Senator Dudley J. LeBlanc. LeBlanc brought in Hollywood celebrities, including such luminaries as Roy Acuff, Milton Berle, Lucille Ball, Minnie Pearl, Mickey Rooney, Bob Hope, Caesar Romero, Dorothy Lamour, Carmen Miranda, George Burns, Judy Garland, Jack Dempsey, Chico Marx, Hank Williams and James Cagney to help him market the product, though top blues shouter Wynonie Harris endorsed it for free on his hit Lovin' Machine.
Directed by the ever resourceful Owen Plummer this is our first video that features the mighty banjo-bass, which you can see near the end of the clip- but you're gonna need headphones or some of those really big speakers to hear it on youtube!
