Celil (pronounced Ja-leel) graced our shop with five incredible performances on five separate classical guitars in early March of 2016. A wonderfully gentle man, supremely talented, very sure of his ability, he played effortlessly. It was an absolute pleasure to have him here with us at Savage Classical Guitar.

About Celil Refik Kaya : Celil began his interest in classical guitar at the age of six with the guidance of his father, Dr. Mehmet Refik Kaya ... Celil Refik Kaya is an artist of exemplary talent having performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls and the festivals. He received a full scholarship from Mannes College the New School for Music (Master of Music) in New York City and the University of Texas (Doctoral of Musical Arts)

About the guitar: As many afficionados might be aware, Hermann III and Kathrin Hauser build their instruments and let them sit for 18 months to 3 years before they are ever finished. They are finished and then sit for another 6 months, where they must exhibit superior quality in every aspect of the guitar to move off of their to do list. High expectations for a highly anticipated classical guitar from Hermann Hauser III. The guitar has arrived. It is magnificent.

Amazing guitar. Old World sound, old world tradition, embodied within a truly special and most beautiful guitar. She is a concert guitar in every aspect of the phrase. Her sound is already ancient, she sounds and looks as if she has been around quite a while already, which is obviously explained by the aging process of the family and their guitars. This is a player's guitar. A performer's guitar. Studio ready, you can't ask for a more beautiful and true guitar than this extraordinary example.
