ROOTS INNA MIX

---ROOTS INNA MIX was born in Taranto in 1999 the project happened due to the will of three different musicians BOMBHEAD, TAN J e MODDI, that went on his own with dj TRIX.



---BOMBHEAD--- the love for reggae music and for the culture of the jamaican sound system growed up with him since he was young.

In 1994 together with Papa Watt they started the project and they built up the SISMA SOUND SYSTEM, they partecipate to many national Festivals (S.U.D. Suoni Uniti Differenziati, Melendugno-R.A.S. Reali Autentici Sound, Roma) all through 1998, when he decides to step out of the SISMA SOUND, and dedicate himself after a year to his new project…



---TAN J--- his reggae passion is created by SISMA SOUND in Taranto , but he was studying and working in Pescara, so it will be in this city, the place where his energy will come out, since 1997 .

Thanks to his selections, the dancehalls and his radio program, Pescara will grow a big reggae movement, still going on today.



Since 1999, ‘till today, Roots Inna Mix promoted and organized plenty of dancehalls, shows and events, cooperated with different promoters and many clubs, in the hole Italy, but most of all in the suburbs of Taranto and Pescara, like :MASSERIA “VACCARELLA”, MASSERIA “LE LAMIE”, l’ AMMIRAGLIA e il WAKE-UP, and for two summers, the MAGIC MOON, had many sound and Italian guests such as :ONELOVE, HIGHGRADE, GOLDENBASS, TRINACREW, FIDOGUIDO, PAPARICKY, SUDSOUNDSYSTEM) and international ones like: BOBOHILL, CANGAROOTS, HERTICAL, GENERAL LEVY.

Roots Inna Mix promotion of reggae music, has seen a big revolution also in Milano where Bombhead lives, and where they often play, in many different places, like : Leonkavallo, Pergola, Cantiere, AcquaPotabile and Tunnel.



Since 2001, they put together a small portable, recording studio (R.I.M. STUDIO) so they started to organize dubplates sessions with most of the jamaican artists on tour in Italy (TOK, BUJU BANTON, BABY CHAM, SIZZLA, CAPLETON, JRKELLY, ANTHONYB, BARRINGTON LEVY and many others).

The idea is to promote music and local artists, more or less known, so in the 2004 Bombhead with his R.I.M. STUDIO records, mixes and produces a CD for the 5th year anniversary of Roots Inna Mix, with many guests (MODDI, ALEXUS, ZAKALICIOUS,

FABLION), and to celebrate this event, Roots Inna Mix organize the 1st Italian Reggae Boat, around the Taranto gulf, for 200 people, with all the singers of the CD.

In the following months they record, mix, and cooproduce together with the singer FIDO GUIDO, his first CD “ PADRUNE’ E SOTTE”.



In the summer of 2005 they mix the CD of ZAKALICIOUS “LA CASA DELLA PARRUCCA”, one more time, a made in Taranto production.

The PASSION & LOVE for the MUSIC is the engyne of the sound…this is what ROOTS INNA MIX wants to transmit with whom shares this passion….MUSIC IS LIFE!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---ROOTS INNA MIX nasce a Taranto nel 1999 a dare vita al progetto (e anche al nome stesso) fu l incontro fra tre ragazzi già musicalmente attivi:

BOMBHEAD, TAN J e MODDI, questultimo ha proseguito la sua carriera a fianco di dj TRIX.



---BOMBHEAD--- si appassiona alla musica reggae e alla cultura dei sound-system giamaicani sin da giovane.

Nel 1994 inaugura insieme a Papa Watt il SISMA SOUND SYSTEM e con questultimo partecipa a numerosi raduni a livello nazionale (S.U.D. Suoni Uniti Differenziati, Melendugno-R.A.S. Reali Autentici Sound, Roma) fino al 1998, quando decide di allontanarsi dal progetto SISMA, per poi dedicarsi dopo circa un anno al nuovo progetto.



---TAN J--- cresce sull onda reggae creata dal SISMA SOUND a Taranto e dal 1997 trasporta la sua energia a Pescara, dove studia e lavora.

Ed è proprio in questa città che grazie alle calde selezioni di Tan j selecta si crea un vero e proprio movimento reggae oggi molto attivo.



Dal 1999 ad oggi Roots Inna Mix ha promosso ed organizzato numerose dancehall, collaborando anche con diversi locali nel tarantino e nel pescarese (MASSERIA VACCARELLA, MASSERIA LE LAMIE, l AMMIRAGLIA e il WAKE-UP, gestito per due estati il MAGIC MOON,) ospitando numerosi sound ed artisti italiani (ONELOVE, HIGHGRADE, GOLDENBASS, TRINACREW, FIDOGUIDO, PAPARICKY, SUDSOUNDSYSTEM) e internazionali (BOBOHILL, CANGAROOTS, HERTICAL, GENERAL LEVY).

La promozione della musica reggae di Roots Inna Mix ha visto unevoluzione anche a Milano dove hanno spesso suonato al Leonkavallo, Pergola, Cantiere, AcquaPotabile e Tunnel.

Dal 2001 con un piccolo studio di registrazione (R.I.M. STUDIO) organizza dubplates session con gli artisti giamaicani in tour in italia (TOK, BUJU BANTON, BABY CHAM, SIZZLA, CAPLETON, JRKELLY, ANTHONYB, BARRINGTON LEVY e tanti altri).

Lidea è quella di promuovere musica e artisti locali più o meno famosi, nel 2004 Bombhead con il R.I.M. STUDIO registra, mixa e produce un CD per lanniversario dei 5 anni di Roots Inna Mix con numerose partecipazioni (MODDI, ALEXUS, ZAKALICIOUS,

FABLION), per festeggiare questevento Roots Inna Mix organizza la 1° Reggae Boat italiana sulla costiera tarantina con la partecipazione di 200 persone. Nei mesi successivi viene registrato, mixato e cooprodotto assieme allo stesso FIDO GUIDO, il suo primo CD PADRUNE E SOTTE.

Nel 2005 viene mixato il CD di ZAKALICIOUS LA CASA DELLA PARRUCCA, ancora una volta una produzione tutta made in Taranto.

La passione per la MUSICA è il motore del sound.questo è quello che vogliono trasmettere a tutti quelli che condividono questa passione MUSIC IS LIFE!!!!!
