is a song I wrote inspired by the life of my Italian grandmother and her papa (a fisherman and a sponge diver) who came from the island of ischia. an island in Southern Italy .It's the title track from 1998 ARIA award winning album " Fisherman's Daughter" produced by Australian legendary singer songwriter Michael Thomas.

The fisherman's daughter, she pulls in the nets
Her father showed her how ,she's the one he loves the best
She know the ocean ,she know the wind
she can track the path of a falling star
she can tell you where you've been...

The fisherman's daughter sees the Milky Way
An ocean of stars strewn in the dark
to guide the humpback whale
wept over a sailor drowned in his own net
every night she lights a lamp, calls his name
she can't forget
Ay ay ay ay ay ay

And there's more salt in her tears than all the southern seas
but she'll laugh out loud and dance around
put her arms around me
catch me a fish from the smokey water
she's my grandma...she's a fisherman's daughter

The Fisherman's Daughter she pulls in the nets
her father showed her how she's the one he loves the best
she know the ocean
she know the wind and she can track the path of your broken heart and tell you where you've been
ay ay ay ay!!!
