Vulumbrella(trad arr K Mazzella/Mazzella Music)From Mermaids In The Well Album 1995.Kavisha sings"Vulumbrella" Which is is a famous Neopolitan love serenade from the 1400's collected by Roberto Di Simone and originally sung by famous folk group Nuova Compagnia Di Canto Popolare of Naples in the 1970's.
Its such a well loved song there are countless versions posted up on youtube. This is mine(it's much slower) from my 1995 recording Mermaids in the Well. A haunting and sensual song full of double entendre, here the singer is comparing the beauty of the woman to a ripe fig!
