Well! i was born in Hartford C.T. on january the 18th, 1986 to pastors Hubert and Jacquilyn Powell! I am currently living right outside of Hartford CT in Windsor CT where i do all of my studio work! I am the youngest out of three brothers! H. Doobie Powell (the oldest), and Billy Churchboy Powell (the middle child)!!! who are both beast on there own!!! my first love was the drums just like every other church organist!!! i started playing the drums when i was about 4 or 5!!! i'll never forget my first time playing the drums! my dad made doobie get off the drumset on a sunday night and my uncle ivan was on the organ! i still play the drums every now and then! but when i was around 7 years old! i started paying attention to keyboards! one day i was playing around with a (Juno 106) that doobie had at the house and i found myself fooling around until i heard something fimiliar!!! i was playing my first chord which was in E-flat ofcourse! and then i kept foolin around until i hit the bass line to shouting music in E-flat!!! years went by!!! all that time i had a big desire to want to play the organ ever sense i was 4 years old! when i was 4 i heard a 3 year old by the name of Corey Henry play the organ great and in every key!!! He is a child Prodigy for real and i thank god for using him along with my dad (Hubert Powell jr.), my undle (Ivan Powell sr.), and my oldest brother H. Doobie Powell to inspire me to play keys!!! when i was about 8 ys old i was blessed to here another child Prodigy by the name of Edward Brown! he was only 10 and i still have the video to prove it!!! by the time i was 13 i began to take the keboards and the organ seriously! by the time i was 14 the lord blessed me to be able to play aux at my church and travel with my brother doobie in and out of town! i was also blessed to meat Alex Ward who is one of the greatest producers ever!!! and i kept practicing!!! and the lord saw fit to let me tour the country of Japan with my biggest Heroe, my dad! (Hubert Powell) along with a portion of the church choir!!! when i was about 17 yrs old i was introduced to the great Michael Bereal! his style is unheard of!!! i have been offered to play r&b, rap and pop music! but i turn them down because its not my hearts desire to do r&b or rap or pop!!! good things come to those who wait!!! I am the main organist/keyboard player for my church! Latter Rain Christian Fellowship COGIC!!! where my parents are the pastors and my brother Doobie is the minister of music! and Billy churchboy Powell on drums!!! I am aslo the main organist/keyboard player for H. Doobie Powell!!! i've also played with artist such as (all of the Powell family, all of the Clark sisters, Dorinda Clark on her new 2008 CD, Kiki Sheard, Kelly Price, Tonex, the Pace sisters, J-Moss, Marvin Sapp, Judith C. McAllister, Kim Burrell, Nickie Ross, Douglas Miller, JP Morgan.) i also had the privilage of sitting in with Tye Tribett's band Sound Check at the end of victory during one of there concerts!!! to god be the glory for the things he has done!!! God and Music is my life and only what you do for Jesus Christ will last!!! Godbless!!!
