What up ya'll My name is Bill Powell AKA "Church Boy". I'm a Musician,producer,rapper,singer-song writer,and most of all a lover of GOD
& Music. I come from a long musical background. I grew up playing drums in
my church,Latter Rain Christian Fellowship.C.O.G.I.C. where my father
Hubert Powell is the pastor.There I learned the meaning of groove, placement, and most of all playing under the anointing. God has allowed my gift to take me many places.I've traveled the World with different artist. I've
toured the country of Japan along side my parents for several years now.
I also have recored with the Japanese solo artist Kiyomi. In 2005 I was able
to acompany my mother co-Pastor Jacqualyn Powell to Africa, wher she ministerd in song and the preached word. I've also been able to perform and record with many artist. My drumming can be heard on all of my bro.Doobie
Powell's CD's, as well as my mom's on her"Right on time" Project.I have also
recorded with Brent Jones,Shirley Murdock,Johnathan Dubos,as well as doing
my own solo Project "nutnbutachurchboy". God also allowed me to produce a track for Tonex not to long ago.On Sept.9th 2006 God blessed me to marrie my wife Joi Nicole Powell, Who I love so dearly, and we have also been blessed with our baby girl Madison Elaine Powell who's is daddy's girl!!! in oct of 2010 My most recent project was released on the world "The Long Road Back to God" and the reception of this CD has been amazing, please continue to pray me. I presently Endorse Paiste cymbals, Ddrum drum co.,& Vater drumsticks.The thing that keeps me going is knowing that God has my back. and thats what I mean when I say "KNOW IT ". PEACE!
