"Hiroshima/Nagasaki (city of forgiveness) was inspired by my first tour of Japan with Holly Cole.... driving into the city the sign said "welcome to Hiroshima, the city of forgiveness"...I was deeply moved by my visit to the memorial and met an elder Japanese lady who gave forgiveness ceremonies to all western visitors that she could...speaking softly and raising her hand to touch our foreheads....I use the phrase Hiroshima/Nagasaki to make sure that both tragedies are tied together as one and that Nagasaki is not to be forgotten.....my good friend Daisy DeBolt helped me finish writing the song...so I give her equal credit....." -George Koller
