Na al die jaren, en x aantal sterfgevallen, blijven de heren van Thin Lizzy gaan. En met recht en reden. Ricky Warwick is een prima frontman die de oude rakkers van weleer perfect bijstaat. Oude hardrock zoals het hoort. Dat zien we graag. De ene classic na de ander classic werd op de weide losgelaten. Zo hoort het ook. Wie zei er ook al weer dat metal dood was? Een kniesoor, zonder twijfel. Klasbakken als deze bewijzen avond na avond dubbel en dik het tegendeel. Dat is wat het GMM-publiek wil horen. Thanx Thin Lizzy.

Thin Lizzy is a household name in the world of heavy rock and far beyond. Formed in 1969 in Dublin, Ireland, the band stormed the music scene in the 70s with a novel sound and matching looks and attitude. Fronted by the charismatic Phil Lynott, Thin Lizzy scored several hits with true classics such as Jailbreak, The Boys Are Back in Town, Still in Love with You and a remake of the traditional Irish ballad Whiskey in the Jar. Halfway through the eighties disaster struck when Lynott paid the ultimate price for his turbulent lifestyle and the band fell apart. In 1996, guitarist John Sykes managed to convince several former band mates to reform the band as a tribute to the life and work of Phil Lynott. In the past 15 years, Thin Lizzy has toured on and off in different lineups to keep the legend alive and this summer they're coming to Dessel!
