DESCRIPTION:
This song is the love story of my great grandparents. They had a considerable age difference, yet, their similar childhood feelings drew them together after they began talking. Both of them had felt sad often while growing up because of the loss of family. When they married they tried to give their only child, my grandmother, a happier childhood than both of them had. While I had a wonderful dad and brother I felt sad often after my mother died. Losing my mother at eight I related to their love story and I imagined that God had somehow brought them together. That is why the chorus is about angels, angels helped them through the sadness of their losses and then later brought them together. Every word of this song came all at once and I felt as though it was written by my great grandparents. There is also an extra bridge in this song that I left out in this performance and that is: "There were times they did not have a thing, but they had each other, which was everything." This was recorded on 11/10/10 at TGI Fridays on West End Ave. in Nashville, Tennessee and Chris Dunnett is playing the guitar.
