"Serenity" Becca Tracey Original Song - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 23, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
When I wrote this song I saw it as a prayer for serenity. That is why I wanted to make a video with just spiritual or peaceful images to look at while it plays. It was written years ago as a prayer for peace after making a decision not to be in a relationship just to be in one. So this song is various thoughts relating to that idea & decision. Some of the photos were shot at St. Henry's in the entryway, church & in the chapel & also at the church of the Cathedral of the Incarnation.

At St. Henry's the stained glass reflects light in an amazing way. You look at walls & you see reflections of the stained glass. It is sort of like seeing a rainbow. Through the reflected lights from the glass you can still see the walls. It almost looks exactly like the stained glass but it's a reflection. The photos were all shot from my iphone in Nashville, Tennessee. The recording was a live performance to a pre-recorded track. The track was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee at Simons Studios with Jackie Simons on instruments. The vocal was recorded in Janesville, Wisconsin at Mocha Moments. I mixed the vocal & track live in Wisconsin through a mixer and recently made adjustments to the recording again here in Nashville. "Serenity" is registered with BMI under County of Rock Music, Becca Tracey.
