"Mr. Yesterday" Original Becca Tracey Song - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 16, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
Years ago as I watched an argumentative couple from a distance and I wrote this song. The two were dating and they fought in public so I knew that really they didn't get along that well. I imagined that I was a friend of the woman and I was trying to tell her to move on so that she does not miss better opportunities. By holding onto him she may be missing someone who could actually get along with her and who actually would be in love with her. The things I imagined she would find if she would let him go were a relationship that would be a better fit for her and also some time to herself so that she can grow and enjoy life without someone who is not right for her. Since I had my heart broken by death, I have always been hesitant to get into relationships unless I feel there is a good chance I would be compatible with the person. My views on relationships for this reason may be a little different but when it comes down to it I think that staying in a relationship that is not helping you both grow is not a good idea. If both people don't bring out the best in each other then what is the point? This was recorded on 11/10/10 at TGI Fridays on West End Ave. in Nashville, Tennessee and Chris Dunnett is playing the guitar.

If you like this song subscribe or comment:) Also as a songwriter I would be trilled if an artist wanted to record this song & you can find it registered with BMI under County of Rock Music, Becca Tracey.
