Many companies are proud and happy to wear the overdrive heart on their sleeve and McCaffrey Audio are no different. Their Zero to Sixty Overdrive is their unabashed homage to the great Tube Screamer and you'll find some very useful additions to the original to sweeten the already great deal. Start with the Gain range - there's more of it than usual on tap here. The Tone control is more of a clever midrange manipulator; wind it back anticlockwise to increase the mids, clockwise to cut them somewhat. There's a Boost toggle to increase bass - just the right amount. A three-way clipping toggle rounds out the picture: Symmetrical, no diodes and 'special sauce' give you plenty of overdrive flavours and make the pedal equally useful in front of a clean or dirty amp. Nice one, fellas!
