En mi opinión, la banda más interesante de rock alternativo de Chile de los años 80s que yo recuerde junto a los - entonces -revolucionarios ELECTRODOMESTICOS. Aquí vemos al Pequeño Vicio tocando o, más bien, doblando su master de estudio para CIUDAD MULTICOLOR, con incendiarias letras que sorprendieron a todos en ese entonces, especialmente porque la censura no captó el trasfondo del tema. O acaso la banda describía simplemente a un personaje imaginario con demasiadas coincidencias con uno real? ("...acá son demasiados los que te odian..." insistía Titín).
El guitarrista, compositor y miembro fundador del Vicio, Juan Ramón Saavedra realizó un gran trabajo con su banda y el actor y bailarín, Titín Moraga (años más tarde promotor de su "andean trance" en el reino Unido), Ivan Delgado,Luciano Rojas y Cristian Araya. (Andres Bobe -q.e.p.d. - integró la banda en etapa posterior a esta filmación), Crucemos los dedos para poder ver re-editado en cd algún día su 1er álbum "El Juicio Final" (en que éste tema quedó fuera...pero pinta bien para bonus track no?) Disfruten de este momento único capturado en video tan solo unos segundos después de que el animador del programa anuncia a "un grupo nuevo". Unas pocas notas fueron suficientes para correr a apretar REC ! (me disculpo por esos segundos de indecisión al inicio, pero el hachazo final fue gentileza del canal de TV. Les habrán sonado demasiado raros o habrá llegado una órden de sacarlos del aire ?)

Best alternative rock band from Chile back in the 80's ever...well...as far as I remember and together with the then revolutionary ELECTRODOMESTICOS. The VICIO are seen here performing or rather back-playing to their studio tape of CIUDAD MULTICOLOR, with incediary lyrics that surprised everyone back then, specially when censors didn't get the real meaning. Or did the band describe just an imaginary character with too many coincidences with a real one ? ("there are too many who hate you here..." insists Titín).
Guitarist, composer and founding member Juan Ramón Saavedra did a great job as well as actor-dancer Titín Moraga (later, promoter of his andean trance in the UK),Ivan Delgado,Luciano Rojas and Cristian Araya.(Andrés Bobe - r.i.p. - joined the band some time after this video was shot.) Let's cross fingers to see their debut album - "El Juicio Final" (The Final Judgment) their best one? reissued on cd some day not too far.
Enjoy this rare moment captured on tape just a few seconds after tv host announces a "new band". Just a few notes were enough to run an press REC !.
