The Upsttemians

En 2005, un grupo de amigos se decide a intentar realizar un sueño. Formar un grupo de música jamaicana. Deciden llamarse The Upsttemians.
Seis años después y tras haber recorrido casi toda la geografía española formando parte del cartel de los mejores festivales del género y habiendo compartido escenario con muchas de las mejores bandas del momento (nacionales e internacionales), el sueño continúa.
Con dos CD's editados ( "The Upsttemians", 2006 y "Turn it Up", 2008) lanzan al mercado su nuevo álbum "Reggae Lessons" editado y distribuido por Oldies But Rudies Records.
De nuevo hacen un repaso del amplísimo abanico de ritmos jamaicanos de los 60 adaptados a su característico estilo.
"Reggae Lessons" destaca por sus potentes bases, sus cuidadas armonías vocales, sus arreglos de vientos y teclado además de por las exquisitas colaboraciones con las que cuenta, convirtiéndose, de largo, en el trabajo más completo de The Upsttemians. It was 2005 when a bunch of friends decided to try to acomplish a dream; make themselves part of a Jamaican music band. They called it "The Upsttemians".
Six years later, after touring around the most part of their country and sharing shows with many of the greatest national and international bands of the scene, the dreams still goes on.
After two already edited Lp's ( "The Upsttemians", 2006 and "Turn it Up", 2008) they show up with the release of their new album "Reggae Lessons", edited and distributed by "Oldies but Rudies Records".
Once again, they make a review of the vast spectrum of 60's jamaican rithyms adapted to their so personal style.
From "Reggae lessons" we can easily underline the powerful riddims, well-cared vocal harmonies, horn and hammond arrangements and prestigious special guests, that make it the most complete work of The Upsttemians.
