El personal sonido de Hotdrop se arraiga en las producciones de reggae de los 70, donde ritmo y armonías se funden en una envolvente atmósfera dub. Este original encuentro entre lo clásico y lo moderno, supone una bocanada de aire fresco en el panorama musical actual español. Sus letras, lejos de tópicos, son poéticas y de protesta, reflejando así la dualidad musical característica de la banda, potencia y melodía, ritmo y suavidad, interpretadas con calidez y personalidad por sus tres cantantes solistas.



Hotdrop se ha dejado ver sobre los escenarios de toda la geografías peninsular, abriendo shows para grandes artistas como Toots Hibbert, Slackers, Linval Thompson y Heptones. También han estado sonando en las ondas de diversas radios especializadas a lo largo y ancho del globo y la prensa musical ha dado buena cuenta de ello. Además, pronto sorprenderán con el lanzamiento de una compilación de remixes de "Ready", fruto de colaboraciones con diferentes productores de Rumania, USA, Francia, y España entre otros, y registrado bajo licencia creative commons.



Actualmente se encuentran preparando las composiciones de su próximo lp.



Muy recomendable, por tanto, la apuesta de estos madrileños, si se quiere explorar nuevas dimensiones sonoras.

Lafamille Music presents:



Its unique sound is rooted in 70s’ reggae productions where rhythm and harmonies melt together in a surrounding dub atmosphere. Its original blend of classic and modern musical elements, refreshes spanish reggae scene. Their lyrics, far from stereotypes, are beetween poetry and protest, being a true reflection of the bands dual nature, power and melody, rhythm and softness, and are sung with personality and mellowness by their three main singers.



Hotdrop have been busy lately, touring in the main cities of Spain opening for important artists such as Toots Hibbert, Slackers, Linval Thompson Heptones and heating the waves of many reggae radios across the world. And not only that! The massive will be suprised to know that soon a "Ready" remix compilation will be released, with different collaborations from Romania, USA, France, Spain, etc.that will also be licensed under creative commons. Hotdrop is preparing now the tracks of their next album, so stay tuned.



We wont have to wait too much to see them live, for they are now presenting their latest record "No barriers", a vynil EP full of hypnotic rhythms and special vocal collaborations.
