DESCRIPTION:
Sheffield Young Singers perform Seven Rivers from 'A Sheffield Song Book'. This suite of 6 songs was commissioned by Sheffield Young Singers from Berlie Doherty and Richard Chew. It was premiered in June 2009 at the Pennine Theatre, Sheffield Hallam University.

This recording was made in 2009 by Shuan Trotter Audio and the photographs were taken by children participating in The Sibling Project (all brothers and sisters of Sheffield Young Singers).

The commission, recording and The Sibling Project were funded by Arts Council England, BBC Performing Arts Fund, Sheffield Town Trust, Sheffield Grammar School Exhibition Foundation and Sheffield Bluecoat and Mount Pleasant Education Foundation.
