After Volcano The Bear, Black Carrot have been the best and most exciting / innovative local act on the Leicershire scene. Their edgy blend of avant-rock fusion, and twisted pop rewrites are always a wonder to behold, especially when their get down to the weird stuff and the surreal/eccentric.
This gig, upstairs at the Charlotte, followed our own set as Triax (videos also here on YouTube) saw the quintet version of Black Carrot on top form. In was videod by Jim Tetlow on a now old-tech video tape recorder, transferred to digital myself, and used with permission from Olly Batts / Black Carrot.
