DJ Rajahsie (Puteetorn Taypaboot a.k.a. Pook) is a ska-dub-reggae musician from Petchaburi, Thailand. He has been playing guitar and spinning turntables since age 15. When DJ Rajahsie was 19 years old he began playing turntables (scratching and dub system) for the well known Thai ska-reggae band T-Bone. Over the years DJ Rajahsie has had guest appearances with musicians such as Zeal, Go Mr. Saxman, Som, Styrene Jungle and DJ Quack-Quack. He created his first band, Dubbrainers, in 2001. Currently, DJ Rajahsie is playing guitar with Kai-Jo Brothers. His newest project is his own band Rahjahsie I. In 2007, Rajahsie I put out their first EP album titled "Soundsystem". Their song "Train Boys" climbed the Fat Radio Charts in December 2007. DJ Rajahsie's inspiration comes from the roots of Jamaican music. He and P' Gap (T-Bone), used their Jamaican inspiration to make a group in Thailand, known as the Thai-Rastas. Thai-Rastas present their original ideas by a means of blending Thai and Jamaican art, music and culture.
