Bigwheel Promo Video final - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 05, 2009
DESCRIPTION:
We have been offered to attend and perform at an international music conference in Tokyo, Japan. Japan Music Week, the first of its kind, begins Nov 9th through Nov 15th, and our band is auctioning 4 shows on Ebay in hopes to generate travel expenses of this self-financed tour. If we sell our shows, we go, and if not we go next year.

We invite you to take a look at our promo video and links below for more information. We are looking for support from local companies like you that may need music services by purchasing one of our shows or sponsoring us for our upcoming journey. What would be cooler than to have a local band just back from a Japan tour to rock your board meeting? :)

--------------------------------------------

Denver, CO Bigwheel Electrosoul, a Denver-based band which regularly gigs throughout Colorado, has been invited by organizer Jon Lynch to represent Denver and Colorado at the first ever international music conference in Japan, JAPAN MUSIC WEEK, occurring November 9-15, 2009 throughout Tokyo. With over 100 bands participating from all over the world, artists are being asked to self-finance their involvement.

To this end Bigwheel is looking for sponsors, as well as throwing two shows to raise money for travel and lodging. The first is this Sunday, November 1st at Herbs Bar, and the second is on Friday, November 6th at the City Hall Event Center. Bigwheel will be auctioning off three performances, a Holiday party, a Spring party and a Summer party (the biggest of the three). Bidding will start at $500, will run from Sunday, November 1st through Saturday, November 7th, and all proceeds will go towards the bands travel and lodging expenses during their stay in Tokyo. If enough money fails to be generated for the trip, Bigwheel will donate the proceeds to a local community-based charity.

Bigwheel have also announced the upcoming release of their new Compost project, a mixtape of remixed beats from todays hottest tracks. All three members contributed to the project, and they will all have their own individual productions. The Compost project started because Dameion Hines (aka DJCheckone), Bigwheels drummer, grew tired of the jukebox syndrome of playing the same songs over and over again at clubs and functions. This led to the recomposition or composting of todays radio hits. The Compost mixtape will be on sale at both fundraising events.

The November 6th show at City Hall Event Center will feature a Death Row Records tribute by Bigwheel Electrosoul, featuring the scariest, most gangster songs of the catalogue. Bigwheel will be performing live compost versions and original Death Row classic medleys, complete with actors on stilts dressed as Snoop and Tupac, and a video slide show and dedication, and potentially a few fire dancers and dramatizations. The cover for both shows will be $5.00, and Bigwheel will be happy to issue receipts for any donations towards their fundraising goals.

Bigwheel is also looking for partnerships and sponsors for like-minded businesses that might stand to benefit from their participation at JAPAN MUSIC WEEK. Sponsors will gain prominent placement in Bigwheel promotion of the event both in the US and Japan, and gain recognition as a crucial partner in helping Bigwheel represent Denver and Colorado at a large international event. Bigwheel plans to take the Colorado flag hard on their backs, along with the sound of the Rockies.
