This video is a short insight into a drum session carried out with drummer Emil Timmermann in February 2013. These live drum tracks are recorded in studio 73 in Copenhagen with producer Johan Lei Gellett.

The vast majority of the album was recorded in Berlin 2012 with producer Ole Bjørn Sørensen. However the drum and piano tracks from these Berlin summer sessions are based on samples and not real instruments resulting in this additional drum session. Further piano sessions are also conducted.

The reason why these extra sessions take place is in an attempt to make the sound more present and lively. It's the quest for a deeper more true sound that can only be found in true acoustic instruments.
