The absurd story of Muculords started back in late 1999, when a  bunch of grind
maniacs, after befriending one another for a few years, decided to get together and lay down some noise. These hazy figures
were the singer and both guitar players (one of which would sit behind the drum kit) from a local act. The other guitarist
is today remembered as perhaps the main responsible of the new-born band and bass duties were left, for the moment,
uncovered. Their names would later be known as, respectively, Diarreus, Torcicolon, Scrotum and Genital Erpes (yes, no
“H”!). A few shows in town will occur and, in May of the following year, Muculords record their debut album
Lethal Laxative Power, consisting of 27 blasting tracks. Years went by and, to cut a long story
short, at the end of 2003 their present line-up was established after the entry of Koprophagore
on guitar, who'd helped many times in the past on bass, on guitar and on vocals, too. Ano Domini had already arrived
at the end of 2000 and so did Gengivits just about the same time. Aw…… to whom
it may concern, in the meantime (May 2001) they'd even managed to record their second album again 27 grinding
tracks of Total Valgorezer Mucu Grind by the name of Carpe Diem that would be eventually
released by Cool Blood (a division of A.K.O.M.) no earlier than 2005, as they refused an earlier deal with a label that
wanted to change the album front cover. Muculords shared stages with a few both international
and local bands, but constant problems on top of bad luck kept sapping their chances to perform. Between September and
December 2006 they recorded 11 whole songs (totally home-DIY), 8 of the which would be called The Hard
Side Of The Muck and end up on a split-cd with Fahrenheit AGX, the old-school hardcore side band of members from
Agathocles and Permanent Death. In March 2007 founding member Scrotum decided to call it quit but
the band was lucky enough to recruit Il Capro (from Muculords'
brothers grind-gods Diorrhea) as replacement after one month or so. Il Capro had already helped
them out with the recording of a Dead Infection cover song supposed to be released on an Ukrainian tribute in early 2008
although this project is still shelved today but never say never. The split with FAGX eventually saw the light of day in
August 2007 on End Of Silence. A few gigs and rehearsals after (i.e. today) Muculords are still working on their 4th opus and all their shows scheduled for August were cancelled
to have more time and energies to pour into new compositions and upcoming recording. Meanwhile Tony from Agathocles,
Permanent Death and Fahrenheit AGX passed away on August 1st, 2008 and we salute him and thank him for sharing his skills
with us. It was a honour, Tony!
