The Death Metal by Cruel Criminal pushes itself to the bounds in the violent expression of ideas, opposing the dictatorial and mind-control systems.

Born in 1994, Cruel Criminal realize in 1995 their first promo, titled "The Shadow Of The Judgement Day", recorded with Paul Chain and distributed by Flying Records.

On the wave of the nice success gained with this promo, in the following years the band works on new tracks, changing the line-up and increasing its performance on the technical side. After many local concerts, the Cruel Criminal publish the second promo, "Orpheus' Inferno", dated 1999, while in 2002 the new promo "Worship Of The Unknown" is recorded. The tracks in these CDs appear in some compilations, like "KaleidoCompilation" in 2001, "Multibanda Vol. 1" in 2004 e “Multibanda vol.2” in 2006.



In 2006, with a consolidated line-up and an extended repertory, the band presents the full-lenght “Souldrain Enslavement” recorded, mixed and mastered at the well-known Fear Studio in Alfonsine (Ra) (www.fearstudio.com) by Simone Mularoni (Empyrios, DGM) and Gabriele Ravaglia.

Imagine you can start a journey, now, wherever you are …

A journey in which you will be able to discharge all of your anger and transform it in will to emerge, win but most of all to enjoy by the sight of your enemy defeated, and watching him search for a safe place to hide that face that once scared you…

This is the journey that the Cruel Criminal propose in the new cd, titled “Souldrain enslavement”. We start cradled by sweet violins, which resound ethereal but disturbing atmospheres, soon to dive in a sea of hypercompressed riffs, designed expressly to inculcate in the listener’s mind and connected by very accurate arrangements, thought for a long time in the last three years of the band’s life.

The excellent sounds, obtained at the Fear Studio, in Ravenna, give justice to tracks echoing great masterpieces by the ancestors of the genre, like Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, Carcass, Death, etc. supporting the work with such strenght to make the whole emerge, until a peculiar alchemy is created between the band and the listener, a very rare art nowadays.

Pieces like “Starshrine of the heroes”, “Hermetic bequest”, “The Black ring” or “Cruel Criminal” oppose more melodic tracks like “The guilt and the unknown” or “Domain” and join more direct and brutal compositions like “Shotgun days” or “Jihad, Armageddon, Ragnarok”, a piece of less than 2 minutes really intense and involving but anyways mantaining the record common denominator: pure death metal.

A really powerful screaming by Lho can only push the final result further more towards the desired fields, just like Cico’s drum, that can be defined at least “furious” …

Dressing the final result Pedro and Ivan’s six strings, the second performing also the solos with the instrument, obtaining an excellent goal.
