On our latest album Eclectric we invited some guests to sing and/or write a track with us. We like collaborating, trying out new directions together with another musician or vocalist. Every week we feature one of these collaborations with some information on how it went about, why we chose the artist, some background information on the featured artist, some info on what the track is about and a small teaser video showcasing the track.

The first one we want to introduce to you is Sophie Clareboets, a talented musician and vocalist from Leuven, Belgium. Together with her we made the track Bad Gods Pray, an effort which dates back since +/- 2007. We fell for Sophies exceptional vocal melodies on her solo project Sowphie. We wanted to create some sort of dirty pop-rock song with filthy synth basslines.

When I heard the track Yves sent me, I immediately knew the lyrics fitted the track. The vocal harmonies just came out when reading the lyrics says Sophie and she adds It was a pleasure working together: fast, pure, correct. I love this combination.

Sophie is active in her solo project Sowphie (www.myspace.com/sowphiesmusic) and in her band Smooth Sofa (www.myspace.com/smoothsofa). Shes also working SOWPHIE accoustic which will add a drummer, second voice and a bass player to the lot. The track we collaborated on, PsyAviah Bad Gods Pray (feat. Sowphie), is released on the Eclectric 2CD Limited Edition. Below is a video showcasing the song.
