With explosive stage presence, intoxicating rhymes and an unmistakable voice, Skrein is steadily building a reputation for himself as Britains hungriest MC. Skrein has shared a stage with such luminaries as Daman Albarn (Gorillaz, Blur), Terri Walker, Hard-Fi, Baaba Maal (Mali), Rasid Taha (Algeria), Scratch (The Roots), Tony Allen, Kano, Son of Dave, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Martina Topley-Bird aswell as staying on the cutting edge of the UK urban scene collaborating with Taskforce, Skinnyman, Plan B and Jehst among others over production from Ghost Town, Jimmy Wha Gwaan, DJ IQ and Dag Nabbit whilst touring the UK, Spain, Norway, Lithuania, Stizerland, Poland and performing at such celebrated venues and festivals as Jazz Cafe, Queen Elizebeth Hall, Womad (UK and international) and Glastonbury.
Best remembered for his standout appearance on the Foreign Beggars album Asylum Speakers, Skreins solo ventures (Mind Out 12" & Idols 7") have all achieved critical acclaim and mainstream radio play. His videos for Mind Out and The Youth received heavy rotation on Channel U.
His song 'Reach' featured on the AdULTHOOD motion picture score and official soundtrack as well as the Channel 4 documentary 'Surviving Gazza'.
His latest release was the star-studded mix CD 'The Eat Up' mixed by the Baby God DJ IQ. Following that is the 'Scene Stealers' LP with Dr Syntax in September 2008 on Dented Records. Also In the works is the KELAKOVSKI LP featuring Jehst, Kashmere, Micall Parknsun, Foreign Beggars, T.B and Smife, all produced by Kelakovski, one of the illest up and coming producers in the game, check out his profile in the top friends section.
