DESCRIPTION:
In this video, I demonstrate 3 different pickup positions on Sire V7 bass:
- bridge pickup // 0:17
- bridge and neck pickup // 0:56
- neck pickup // 1:33
The thing that I like on that bass, is that higher notes (especially on G string) sound sweet and not trebly like in some other basses.
The pickups are set in "passive" mode, while Volume and Tone are set around 9 (of 10).
My apologies for that annoying buzz sound everytime I hit an open A string! I have to setup that instrument. I will. Sorry for that. =)
The buzz sound comes from the string between the nut and the keys. So, it doesn't affect my signal. However you can hear it because of the mic placement I used (the "side" microphone grabbed great part of the enviremental sounds)

The sound is a mix of a DI signal and two microphones in front of a guitar(!) tube amp(!!).
Mid/side technique used.
