Everyday People - Simmer Down (RP's Odyssey Mix) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Sep 09, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Following the amazing response to the original versions of 'Simmer Down' Papa Records very own Reel People delivered their first ever remix package with their own take on this underground classic.

Everyday People is one of many pseudonyms used by Seiji, and 'Simmer Down' was first original production for Papa Records. Seiji (aka Paul Dolby) is a key member of West London's Bugz In The Attic production crew and over the last few years he has emerged as one of the leading lights on the Broken Beat / Nu Jazz scene, be it for his productions, remixes or his DJ sets.

Reel People's RP's Odyssey Mix takes the original house mix and stretches it out to an unbelievable 10 minutes without ever getting boring, keeping the warm soulful vibe running throughout, adding luscious live horns and the amazing keys of Kaidi Tatham who also provided the Keys on the original mix. Also included are stripped down RP's Odyssey Dub and the never released RP's Odyssey Instrumental.

If you download all three tracks at high band rate then there is also the bonus of the never released RP's Odyssey Musapella too. The Musapella strips away the beats to let the music shine through.
