The Dry County Crooks are an outlaw country/rock outfit from Portland, Oregon with punk roots and a blue-collar message that has become their trademark.  Touring the western states since 2001, they've played over 400 shows including multiple appearances at MusicfestNW and opening for bands ranging from Eddie Spaghetti to The Tennessee Three.  Vocalist/accoustic guitarist Vinny D's anthems are the ignition system in the hopped up pickup that is DCC.  Influences Johnny Cash, Social Distortion, and The Pogues are hot wired into tales of rural American characters, greased up broken hearts, alcoholic binges and knife weilding street fighters.  Paul Becker's electric guitar crunch sparks the 8-cylinder rhythm section of drummer Troy Stutzman and Bassist Johnny B.

In 2003 The Dry County Crooks self-released "The One That Got Away" on Blue Collar Heart Music and followed in 2005 with "Wrong Side Of The Tracks".  Their new album, "When Hearts Break" is now out on the MastanMusic label.

"The Crooks' new "When Hearts Break"- a collection of unaffected Americana-core anthems and rockabilly ballads - lurches decidedly punkward."  Jay Horton, Williamette Week.

"Hearing a band that sounds as lean and streamlined as The Dry County Crooks do on their latest album, "When Hearts Break," has a strangely calming effect, in spite of their muscular country/rock hybrid."  Bob Ham, special to The Oregonian.

"It's a strange world when a country

band rocks harder than much of what passes for rock these days" -Brian

Blair, editor/publisher, Oregon Music Guide. www.omguide.com

"The best damn country CD you'll hear this year!"

-Queenie, Portland Online MusicNet. www.pomn.com

"Music to open a cheap beer with a greasy but sharp

switchblade by, as you drive through the streets of Portland in your three

on the tree, straight-six Impala" -Jack Sparks

'The Other Side of Country' WMGT 1220 AM. www.othersideofcountry.com

"Their songs, in all their heartbroken, whiskey-soaked,

soul-baring glory, are as true as it gets. Buy this record---and do it

now." -Rick Emerson, 'The Rick Emerson Show' Rock 101 KUFO. www.rickemerson.com

"Great stuff!" -Stephen Egerton, ALL, The Descendents.

"The Crooks music is country, but don't be put off

by that label, because waiting around the corner are loud guitars, tatoos

and murder ballads." -Rob Peacock. www.nw-radio.com

"Mix punk, twang and add attitude. Dry County Crooks

mines the rebel spirit of both genres." -Angela Yeager, Statesman

Journal.
