Gathering of the Vibes is an annual music, arts and camping festival now in its 16th year. Vibes has grown into a four-day festival that has featured such world-class talent as Crosby, Stills and Nash; all living members of the Grateful Dead; the Allman Brothers Band; James Brown; the Black Crowes; Buddy Guy; George Clinton and P-Funk; Bruce Hornsby; Les Claypool; and many, many more big names, while continuing to showcase extraordinarily talented, young, up-and-coming bands to the 15-25 thousand people who attend each year.

14 Years and Counting

On a dark and stormy night 14 years ago we played our first show as Dark Star Orchestra. As we prepare to celebrate our 2,000th show in a few days we are taking a moment to reflect on what a long strange trip its been while gazing at the open highway that lay in front of us. We have been on what seems to be one continuous wild and adventurous tour since Martyr's in 1997. That road has carried us from Japan to Amsterdam and to all but two states in the union. Along the way we have been fortunate to receive immense love and support from our fans. We are proud to share the music with all of you and hope to keep the wheels rolling for many years to come....thank you so much for being a part of it!


Dark Star Orchestra presents its critically acclaimed live show to Deadheads both old and new at every show on its non-stop tour.

Using entire shows from the Grateful Dead's decades of touring as a launching pad, Dark Star Orchestra recreates song for song performances straight from historic set lists. Not merely mimicking the Dead, DSO instead seeks the individual style of each era and offers its own interpretations and improvisations for a group famed and loved for their interpretations and improvisations.

Having just celebrated their 13th anniversary of touring worldwide to the tune of over 1900 shows, Dark Star Orchestra's determined commitment to 'raising the Dead' has drawn them much critical acclaim.
