This awesome video was taken by Marce Stouffer during Memorial Day Weekend 2013 During the 45th Camp Joe Scherman Staff Reunion Weekend. She graciously shared it with the Sherman Staff Reunion FB Group, Scherman's Song was written by Anne "Buckeye" Guiltinan in 1975, during her last summer at Camp. Anne had been at Camp Joe Scherman as a camper, camp staff and Assist Camp Director, stockpiling many great memories.
This special video shows Anne (blue shirt, hat playing guitar), Dana "Moose" Sears (Playing 12 string guitar) and many other staff and friends performing an awesome harmony of Scherman's Song. Recorded as it's best - during a campfire sing along in the Dining Hall of Camp Scherman. Buckeye did not learn until later years that the song she had written as a memoir of her time at camp so long ago had become an "official song" for campers at Camp Scherman and has been shared at many campfires over the years and will be for years to come!.
Camp Joe Scherman is located high in the San Jacinto Mountains in the town of Mountain Center, CA. It is located halfway between Hemet and Palm Springs, CA near the town of Idyllwild.
