DESCRIPTION:
Singer-songwriter Ron Davies (http://www.rondavies.info) is perhaps best known as the composer of "It Ain't Easy," which was covered by several artists, most notably David Bowie on his "Ziggy Stardust" album. Another of his hits was "Long Hard Climb," which has been covered by artists such as Maria Muldaur and Helen Reddy.

In this clip, his sister, Gail Davies, joins Ron Davies on "It's You Alone," a song that he wrote and that Gail recorded, with Ricky Skaggs singing backup, for her 1983 LP, "What Can I Say."

As she illustrates in her new memoir, "The Last of the Outlaws," (http://www.gaildavies.com) Gail shared a deep bond with her brother, and they encouraged each other personally and professionally through the years, until his untimely death at age 57 in 2003.

This Ron Davies video gives you a rare look at one of the country's finest singer-songwriters.
