So, the phrase refers to purifying your heart of all the bad stuff (desire, anger, fear, depression, etc.) that comes from what we take in via the six senses."

In the context of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress I would personally interpret it as a battlecry which is supposed to mean "We'll defeat the Kabaneri!" or "We'll purify the world from the Kabaneri!".
