DESCRIPTION:
OFFICIAL VIDEO: This coveted baroque single, original copies of which can sometimes reach three figures, has been lovingly digitally re-mastered by Steve Stanley. It has now been re-released on "Book a Trip 2 (More Psych Pop Sounds of Capital Records), and is widely available. The song was written by Rob Ashmore & Tom Payne and recorded by Rob (alias Robbi Curtice) under the auspices of Mills Music's Ralph Murphy and Vic Smith (better known as Vic Coppersmith-Heaven), at London's Regent Studios on 17th June 1968. Despite much initial hype and optimism, the original production was flawed and so not accepted for release by the UK record companies. So the single was released in USA only, with "Soul of a Man", originally intended as the B side, promoted to the A side. It sold well on the West coast of USA. Now digitally restored, on this official video you can hear "When Diana Paints the Picture" as it should have been released to the music world in 1968.
