We all know that no one can replace Smokey Robinson [composer and original singer of the song] on that “hit-the-spot” feeling you get when you hear Smokey singing “Ooh Baby Baby”. Truly…really…and absolutely, Smokey has the patent on that! But even Smokey would be pleased with this version of his classic hit tune. The team of Harry Ray, Billy Brown, and Al Goodman [Ray, Goodman, & Brown] originated from 70s R&B group The Moments. RGB is still present but with new members. Sadly Al Goodman went to the heavens to sing in God’s choir [RIP]. In addition to Ray and Brown, current members include Mark Greene; Kevin Owens; Eric Olfus Sr.; and Larry Winfree [all Vocalists]. Other members have been Harold Eban Brown [Lead Vocals up until 1993]. RGB formed in 1978 and immediately found instant success with the release of their hit song “Special Lady” which made the R&B in 1979 and hit #5 on the pop chart. Over the years, RGB had several albums they recorded and released. “A Special Moment With Friends” is a collection of some of their most popular songs and was compiled in 2011.
