Soren LaRue - "Turn The Loop On" (Original Mix) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 22, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
Southern beatsmith Soren LaRue drops his debut release on Quarterlife Records NYC with Turn The Loop On feat Benman! This package definitely has something for everybody. The original mix is jacky electro-house with a touch edge and some deep spoken word by Benman floating over the dry analog-styled synth sounds and belltones. This track definitely harkens back to the early days of Basement Jaxx and has a nice chuggy party vibe the will fit in perfectly mid-set. New York's SRIMIX turns out a remix that is more stripped down and bassline-driven. Lots of sidechained layers make the track pump over a touch electro bassline, but the drums and percs lean more in a nu-disco direction. An introspective breakdown takes us into a heavily processed electro passage that will keep the heads bobbing. Last but not least, Quarterlife Records NYC label boss Indicant takes things in a decidedly different direction to round out the package. This is chuggy underground tech-house at its finest. This is a hypnotic soundtrack to a late-nite urban cellar somewhere, with shuffled wooden percs and acidey melodic stabs. Two bizarre dreamy breakdowns changed the vibe and then - bam! - back to some deep tech!
