Finish Line : The Rise And Demise Of OTB , A documentary by Joseph Fusco and Matthew Flannery tells the story of how a Company that produced 40% of the wagers made in New York State and contributed over one billion dollars to State and Local Governments was shuttered in December 2010.The circumstances depicted foreshadowed events to come across America as Government sought to limit the power of Unions targeting municipal workers and stripping them of benefits they qualified for. A thousand OTB employees lost their jobs and 900 retirees were stripped of their health insurance using laws that could never have been intended to so such a thing when they were written.
