DESCRIPTION:
By 1978 my good friend Mike McCune, whom I had worked with in the mid '70's in "Chameleon" and "Spread Eagle", had hooked up with the legendary Joe Jammer.

I was invited to run sound for the boys at more or less a rehearsal / show at a recreation room at an apartment complex somewhere on the south side of Chicago. Of course I hauled along the trusty reel to reel.

This is the first of 4 recordings I have of the band, 3 from this time period, and one from 1982. This one is a bit unpolished in places, but contains songs that were staples in the Jammer shows for years to come. It features Joe's always over the top raps between songs, and the great drumming and vocals of Jerry Frank.

While Joe's You Tube footprint is mighty, there doesn't seem to be anything there from this line up, so I've decided after sitting on this stuff for all these years to finally, "get up offa that thing" and post the shows. As I really don't own the rights to any of this, and only make an occasional questionable guest appearance, if anyone has a problem with me posting these, I'll gladly take them down. But I think they should be heard. Much fun was had by anyone who went to these "events".

The recording is pretty much as is on the original tape. The brutal edits were by me attempting to save tape at the time. I didn't know I was recording history. My apologies.
