Hail to the King by Avenged Sevenfold Drum Cover by Myron Carlos.

This is NOT a note for note cover. Been a while since I covered A7X. I actually only heard this song for the first time a few days ago and decided to give it a go. Don't get me wrong, I think A7X is a phenomenal band but I don't like the drum part to this track. The guitar parts in the verses seemed "forced" as well. Like no one could think of a riff so the producers said, "Just chug 8th notes".

Regardless, I approached this with the mindset, "What would I play if I had to play this song" and there you go (more or less). Certainly, If I were to actually lay the track down, I would put a little more thought into what to play but it's hard to do much when all the rhythm guitar parts are 8th notes and whole notes.

This video also debuts new heads on some of the drums. For some reason, everytime I change heads, I decide to cover an A7X tune. Consequently, I get a lot of flak for my kit sounding "weird" as it probably will be until I figure out new EQ settings and mic placements.
