DESCRIPTION:
The title track to Celia of Les Nubians' new cabaret style show.... BlueNefertiti's Paris@Night, a French Cabaret

This track is a DEMO by Celia [BlueNefertiti] and DJ Wamba... Paris, FR circa 2004 ??? sumthin' like that.

It is a combination of two poems by Jacques Prevert, a famous French poet - the author of "Autumn Leaves" ["Les Feuilles Mortes"]. You'll see a little cameo shot of him in this homemade photo/video...

She kept the song [and the concept of a cabaret show that would create a platform for various art forms to merge] in her "handbag" until moving to Brooklyn, NY.

On her #% birthday weekend she performed "Paris@Night" in her debut performance of BlueNefertiti's Paris@Night at Solomon's Porch [BK] in September 2008.

The cabaret has grown creatively and in popularity over the last 9 months.

It's theme is CITIES and LOVE; the beauty & the destitution, loyalty & betrayal, inertia & divine inspiration...

BlueNefertiti and her Ek'lectric Band take you on a journey through time and space... interlocking the frequencies of Jazz, Funk, Soul, House, Hip Hop, Samba, Blues, Drum'n'Bass... tracing the echos of Herbie Hancock, Minnie Ripperton, Edith Piaf, Miriam Makeba, Josephine Baker, Dave Brubeck and more.

BlueNefertiti's Paris@Night is featured every 1st Thursday of the month at the Zinc Bar and three times per year at [Le] Poisson Rouge.
