nokeys is a new wave/post punk band with references scoping from Depeche Mode and Joy Division to early U2 and the Smiths.

Their first album "The Regency", produced by acclaimed Swedish producer Stefan Boman (Kent, Hellacopters, Backyard Babies and many other Nordic and European acts) allowed the band to make a name for itself in the independent European scene, with its original blend of languages, new wave and dark atmospheres and intense energy.

After releasing "The regency" in late 2009 in Italy (SFEM /Audioglobe) and Sweden (SFEM/Wonderland), nokeys collected lots of airplay, reviews, played at Italian independent festival MI AMI, did two mini tours in Scandinavia, filmed two video clips in Sweden (later on several music tv channels) and performed in front of many different audiences, always receiving enthusiastic feedback.

A showcase in Berlin at Popkomm 2010 was their last stop before starting to work on new material for their second LP, "Cold War".

In December 2011 the first single / video "Envy" was launched on Rolling Stone Italy. The song was produced by Stefan Boman and the video filmed by Carlo Roberti and the crew of Solobuio Visual Factory (Rome). In early 2012 the band started an exclusively live presentation of the album to fans and press: Milan -- Rock'n'Roll (with the exclusive participation of Mauro Garofalo), Rome -- Le Mura (with writer and performer Sergio Gilles La Cavalla and Simone Salvatori, frontman with Spiritual Front), Paris, Lyon, Antibes and Monaco were among the most important events.

The actual album release was anticipated by the EP "Cold War -- The Recruitment", presented on September 21st 2012 in free download on Doloder.com.

The official date for the release of "Cold War" is December 10th 2013. The finished album is the result of the work of two different producers, for a brilliant mix of the band's multiple souls. The songs produced by Stefan Boman (at this point the fifth member in nokeys) engage in a virtual battle with the ones produced by Emanuele Battisti, Paris-based Italian producer who specializes in electronics.
